Catcheside Warrington's Tyneside Songs is a collection of standards for the period and reflects the status of Tyneside and Newcastle folksong at the time. These were the central songs of the tradition at that time. Warrington was a well known performer and recording artist who made early recordings under a variety of names. The booklets were published by J. G. Windows of Newcastle-On -Tyne Although Warrington is mentioned on the cover the arrangements are by Samuel Reay, Mus. Bac.
